I watched my Deputy Minister, Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng launch the Girls in ICT, a Tertiary version supported by Huawei Technologies.
Ama noted our mobile phones have become a working tool in our hands and it is therefore difficult to live without them. This means that we need to empower Ghanaians especially Girls and young women to take up careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Innovation (STEMI) fields.
I am interested to see how far this initiative will go and we would be monitoring and evaluating the success so we can institutionalise it.
The ladies have been offered exciting internship opportunities to propel them into their chosen careers.
